Teri Reed-Rhoads Receives ASEE Award

The American Society for Engineering Education presented Reed-Rhoads, ENE professor, director of the First-Year Engineering Program, and the College of Engineering's Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education—the Educational Research and Methods Division Distinguished Service Award at the 2008 Frontiers in Education conference.

Gary Horlacher Named NASA Flight Director

A 1989 Purdue graduate in interdisciplinary engineering (a program now part of the School of Engineering Education), Horlacher is one of 28 active space shuttle and space station flight directors, including those in training. Only 77 people have served as NASA flight directors, or are in training to do so, in the nearly 50 years of human space flight.
