Stop by the annual FYE Design Competition from 3:30-7:30m p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, to view design projects from Purdue's newest influx of engineering students. A fair in the atrium of the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering (ARMS) will showcase projects that demonstrate First-Year Engineering (FYE) students' teaming, creativity, problem solving and engineering design skills. Participation in the competition is open to any student enrolled in an FYE pathway: ENGR-13000; ENGR-13100/13200; Honors, EPICS, and VIP. Following the fair, the in-person competition on February 26th will include live presentations by the top designs to a judging panel. First-, second-, and third-place finalists will receive cash prizes provided through FYE and industry sponsorships.
February 7th is the deadline for FYE teams to register to compete through the online portal Purdue Pitch.
The annual event is sponsored this year by the Purdue University College of Engineering, as part of its 150th Anniversary, and the School of Engineering Education, which runs FYE.
