The School of Engineering Educaton and the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering are hosting a networking event for Jennifer Kerr and Leslie Bottorff, who are two of Purdue College of Engineering's 2025 Distinguished Alumni recipients from ENE/BME. Registration is required to attend.

Jennifer (Simon) Kerr (BSIDE, ’93, Bioengineering; MS, ’95, Physiology)
Kerr is president of Cook Research Incorporated, a subsidiary of Cook Medical, where she leads the global Clinical Affairs organization and is an integral part of the executive leadership team. With a career spanning 30 years at Cook, Kerr has made significant contributions to the medical device industry, including her role on the board of directors for the Medical Device Manufacturers Association and as chair of the governing committee for the National Evaluation System for Health Technology. Her dedication to leadership and innovation is further demonstrated in her involvement as an advisor for the Purdue's Women’s Global Health Institute and Indiana University’s Tobias Fellows Leadership Program and Advisory Board.

Leslie Bottorff (BSIDE, ‘79, Bioengineering)
Bottorff is a strategic and operational leader with deep experience in coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs and start-up company teams that impact the healthcare industry with ground-breaking innovations. She has more than 45 years' experience in building companies as a venture capital investor, and as a key sales and marketing executive in both start-up and large medical companies. She serves as the principal of Bottorff Advisors and focuses on leveraging her experience in healthcare technology companies via consulting to mentor CEOs and teams, helping them to build new products and companies and accelerate growth. She is a founding member of the advisory board of the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue, and mentor for Purdue’s Leslie Bottorff Fellowship for Clinical Innovation and Translation, an educational and research partnership between the Purdue Weldon School and Indiana University School of Medicine.
