CSME mission statement

Semiconductor technology advancements have driven great progress in society, from computing, communication, information, and data processing, to healthcare, transportation, energy generation and defense. The semiconductor industry is essential to global prosperity and security. Ensuring the security of this ecosystem is therefore critical to the well-being of the global community.

The Center for Secure Microelectronics Ecosystem (CSME) is a unique partnership between industry, academia, and the U.S. government to advance the field of secure microelectronics. CSME research addresses security concerns across the entire semiconductor lifecycle from design to fabrication, assembly, distribution, and end-of-life. CSME will also train a new generation of workforce that is equipped to address the challenges of secure microelectronics.
