John Martinson Honors College Presents NASA Astronaut Roy Bridges – 11/10
The John Martinson Honors College in partnership with Leading Women Toward Space Careers presents an evening with NASA astronaut Roy Bridges on November 10th at 5:30 p.m. in Honors Hall, located inside the Honors College and Residences North building. Bridges will present to students, staff, faculty, and members of the community about his journey from humble beginnings to positions of leadership and prestige, ultimately fulfilling his dream of flying into space as the pilot of the Challenger Space Shuttle.
Throughout his career Bridges served many roles including piloting Challenger, serving as the director of NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center, and as the director of Langley Research Center.
Bridges will be signing copies of his book, An Improbable Astronaut, immediately following the presentation. If you’d like to purchase a copy of the book to present to Bridges to sign at the event, you can do so here.
