Summer 2026 - AAE 418 Zero-Gravity Flight Experiment

Summer 2026 - AAE 418 Zero-Gravity Flight Experiment

AAE undergrads, especially those finishing sophomore and junior years:

Summer 2026 offering of AAE418 "Zero-gravity Flight Experiment" needs more people interested in building original spaceflight experiments.  This includes two human-tended experiments for the Purdue 1 mission on Virgin Galactic, four or five for small uncrewed rockets, and more.  This is an in-person class because teams can't design, build, and test these experiments effectively if team members are remote.

To permit more students to participate this summer, Prof. Collicott will waive the prerequisite (AAE333) for the summer session of AAE418.  This means AAE students can take AAE418 earlier in their years here and that your non-AAE friends can also take AAE418 with you.

Spring and fall semesters AAE418 classes fill up to capacity quickly each year, so it is uniquely easy to get into AAE418 in summers like this one.
