INTRODUCTION

Effective communication in healthcare is critical for high-quality and safe patient care, and communication failures have led to adverse events and medical errors. Unfortunately, existing assessment tools of communication can be time-consuming, inconsistent, and limited by observer biases. This study aimed to predict clinical performance using automated and audio-based communication metrics in a simulated patient care setting.
