The Society of Environmental and Ecological Engineers (SEEE) Instructional Excellence Award recognizes an EEE faculty member for outstanding achievement in the area of teaching with an emphasis on the past academic year.

Three EEE faculty members have been recognized with College of Engineering Faculty Excellence Awards for their contributions to teaching, research and online education. The awards were presented at the Faculty Recognition Banquet on April 5. The recipients are:

Environmental and Ecological Engineering sophomore Qi Erica Wang hasn’t wasted any time starting her career as a water safety specialist. She jumped right into research as a freshman, and this summer will present in Denver at the national conference of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

Dr. Fu Zhao has been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for his significant achievements in engineering research and education.

The Purdue College of Engineering held its 17th annual Staff Awards of Excellence event on Friday, December 7, at the Shively Club inside Ross-Ade Pavilion. EEE’s Lab Manager, Nadya Zyaykina was nominated for the Professional Achievement Award and ended up being the recipient of this particular award.

Environmental and Ecological Engineering (EEE) at Purdue University is deeply saddened by the passing of the founder of the Fehsenfeld Family Headship, Fred M. Fehsenfeld.

Forty-five Purdue professors, including EEE's Chad T. Jafvert, will be honored Dec. 11 when they are inducted into the University's Book of Great Teachers, which honors outstanding teaching faculty who have demonstrated sustained excellence in the classroom.

The Purdue University Board of Trustees on Friday (Oct. 12) ratified two named faculty positions for EEE faculty members Ernest Blatchley and Chad Jafvert.
