EEE student, alumnus publish articles in Purdue Journal of Service-Learning and International Engagement
Zielinski’s article, Urban Water Project at Food Finders, described her community experience at Food Finders Resource and Education Center in Lafayette, Indiana, which was conducted as part of EEE 495, Urban Water Projects (pictured right). Taught by Dr. Lindsey Payne, the Urban Water Projects course promotes water sustainability through community projects designed to improve the water quality of the Wabash River in Tippecanoe County. Zielinski is set to graduate from EEE in December 2017.
Saltanovitz is a recent August 2016 graduate with a dual degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) and Environmental and Ecological Engineering (EEE). As a junior, Saltanovitz was a peer-teaching assistant for one of Dr. Lindsey Payne’s (pictured left) courses emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and innovative solutions related to current world issues. His article, Profile Interview with Faculty Mentor Lindsey Payne, highlights Dr. Payne’s work with students as an instructor and mentor to Purdue students.
