Physical and mental health discoveries and resources: The L.A. fires REBUILD survey

One October 20, 2025 a webinar about physical and mental health discoveries and recommendations from the 2025 Los Angeles (L.A.) Fires was conducted. This webinar shared new discoveries from a community survey conducted after the fires, but also lessons learned and resources from this and other fires from experts. A panel discission and question and answer session was conducted. Experts shared how people deal with stress after disasters and provided advice for healing and LA specific resources.
American Red Cross grants have been awarded to local groups to support community healing. These include Shepherd's Door, Clergy Community Coalition, Boys and Girls Club of Malibu, Hope Crisis Response Network, and 211LA.
The UCLA/Duke University National Center for Child Traumatic Stress shared a variety of resources (www.NCTSN.org).
