Jaesik Hahn became the first MTEC PhD Student defends his thesis! Albraa Alsaati defended his MS thesis and will continue to the PHD program! Congratulations!

Jaesik Hahn defended his PhD Thesis on "HOW HEAT AFFECTS HUMAN HAIR: THERMAL CHARACTERIZATION AND PREDICTIVE MODELING OF FLAT IRONING RESULTS" on March 26. Jaesik is the first PHD student to gradaute from the MTEC lab and his work in collaboraiton with the Reid Lab has sparked several new advances within the field of characterizing thermal transport in fiberous materials.

Jaesik's Defense

Albraa Alsaati defended his MS Thesis on "HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER ANALYSIS FOR MEMBRANE DISTILLATION" on April 5. Albraa's work focused on evaluating a novel configuration to reduce energy consumption of MD while maintaining state of art mass flux rate. Albraa plans to continue to his PhD.
