New Paper Published in Algorithms on Machine Learning and Data-Driven Models for Remanufacturing
Yong Han (Roy) Kim (current PhD student), Ritbik Kumar (current PhD student), Dr. Chandra Nath, Ph.D. (current senior research scientist), and Prof. John W. Sutherland recently published a paper titled "Unlocking Potential of Remanufacturing through Machine Learning and Data-Driven Models – A Survey" in Algorithms.
This paper has been published in the Algorithms journal, under the Special Issue on Scheduling Theory and Algorithms for Sustainable Manufacturing. Special thanks to Dr. Alexandre Dolgui for serving as the Guest Editor and inviting us to submit a paper on this important topic.
Despite the growing interest in machine learning and data-driven models, their application in remanufacturing remains limited. This study offers a thorough review of existing research and proposes directions for future studies to utilize these technologies in advancing remanufacturing efficiency and sustainability.
