The Laboratory for Sustainable Manufacturing (LSM) aims to apply the principles of sustainability in the manufacturing industry. Current areas of research include smart/sustainable manufacturing, circular materials economy (including recycling and remanufacturing), sustainability of bioenergy systems, green manufacturing planning, sustainability impacts, and social sustainability of manufacturing.

With a foundation in areas such as environmental and ecological engineering, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and industrial engineering, our team is conducting innovative research at the interface of manufacturing and the environment that has an impact.
