Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering, Brandon Pitts, has received the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, which is the NSF’s most prestigious award in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.

Purdue University researchers, led by Lyles Family Professor of Civil Engineering Darcy Bullock, have developed techniques to harness big data from connected vehicles to monitor congestion caused by crashes, weather and construction.

The Digital Twin Lab, led by CE's Ziran Wang, uses wireless communication technologies to allow automated vehicles to transmit information among one another or with traffic infrastructures, making them 'connected and automated vehicles.'

The conference offered students the chance to present research and network.
