Congratulation to Reyvant!

Congratulation to Reyvant!

In November 2018, The Anvil hosted Purdue’s first social entrepreneurship competition - Crossing State Street. One of our undergraduate researcher, Reyvant Tambi, and his team stood second in the weekend long competition, winning a prize money of $500. The team proposed a techno-entrepreneurship solution for the client – Care For Friends (a non-profit based in Chicago) by designing a prototype for an application and performing a market analysis. The application works on the idea of providing effective communication at virtual platform that brings help to the homeless people in a quicker and easier way by taking the proximity of the volunteer and the homeless person in need in consideration. The solution prioritizes the non-profit’s constraints and values, and propose a market plan using the available resources in the city of Chicago.
