Fall 2024 Candidacy
If you are to graduate in Fall 2024, please make sure your Plan of Study is submitted as Final as soon as possible. If you had not let Michelle know you are graduating in December, please let her know, and she will contact you throughout the Fall semester with important dates and for those defining, important deadlines.
Students graduating in December should add themselves as Candidates.

EEE Welcome Back Night
This year’s EEE Welcome Back Night will be held on Thursday, August 29th. The time of this event is 5-7PM in Stewart Center (STEW) 218 ABCD. All EEE students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to join. Meet incoming students and reconnect with current ones! Refreshments will be provided.
Incoming graduate students are requested to attend our in-person orientation, on Wednesday, August 14, in POTR 234, from 9-11AM. Refreshments will be provided before and after the in-person orientation.
All EEE graduate students are welcome to attend lunch.

Graduate Student Publications on Website
We are excited to announce that we will now be showcasing faculty and graduate research on the EEE website. If you have published any research papers, articles, or books in 2023 or 2024, we kindly invite you to share them with us. Please send APA formatted citations through this submission link. This is an ongoing initiative, so please keep us up to date. The submission link will be found on the Publications Webpage for your convenience. If you have any questions, please reach out to EEE’s Communications Specialist, Lacy Gehmlich at lacyg@purdue.edu.
Survey: Impact of future Bus charge on students

“Dear Graduate Students at Purdue University,
I would like to ask you for your help by filling out THIS survey. It requires less than 10 min of your time.
Please also respond to this survey if you commute by car, bike, or walk!
Background:
Currently, the city bus services are free of charge for Purdue students, i.e. students can take the 4B to Walmart for free or commute from Lafayette to campus every day for free with a valid university ID. However, this is currently scheduled to change. City Bus-Greater Lafayette has announced it plans to charge Purdue University students a fee of $100 per semester for its services (excluding campus loops), beginning Fall 2024.
IEGSO believes this topic is a highly relevant one for Graduate students as we believe many use the city bus’s services. Your anonymized data will allow us to represent the student’s voice to the University and the municipal company City Bus.
