Zhi (George) Zhou, Ph.D., P.E. 
Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. degree (2007) in Environmental Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his M.S. degree (2002) and B.S. degree (1999) in Environmental Science from Nanjing University. Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on environmental microbiology and the application of biotechnologies in engineering systems. In Fall 2014 Dr. Zhou will be teaching EEE 495, Wastewater Treatment Process. Dr. Zhou will hold a joint appointment with Civil Engineering.
Amisha Shah, Ph.D.
Dr. Shah received her Ph.D. (2008) in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech. and her B.S. degree (2002) in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Shah’s research includes environmental chemistry, contaminant reaction kinetics, mechanisms and byproduct formation, mass transport mechanisms, sustainable water reuse, ballast water treatment, and CO2-capture technologies. In Fall 2014, Dr. Shah will be teaching CE 597, Environmental Analytical Chemistry. Dr. Shah will hold a joint appointment with Civil Engineering.
