EEE Graduate Program Ranked in Top 10 Best Environmental Engineering Graduate Programs in the U.S.
The 2024 US News Rankings have been released, and Purdue EEE’s Graduate Program has climbed three positions to secure the #9 spot among the best Environmental Engineering Graduate Programs.
Professor Fu Zhao, EEE Graduate Co-Chair, enthusiastically shares that this ranking represents “super exciting news” and serves as significant recognition for the young and fast-growing program. Achieving a top 10 position has been EEE’s goal since the start.
“We have high quality students and faculty members working on cutting edge research related to sustainability. The new ranking will help us further grow the program in terms of both numbers and quality,” Zhao remarks.
Professor Zhao also highlights that the first EEE PhD graduate completed the program just six years ago in 2018. Within this short span, EEE, along with its devoted faculty and staff, has successfully established a nationally recognized program.
Professor John Howarter, EEE Graduate Co-Chair with Dr. Zhao, says, “As one of the newest disciplinary programs at Purdue, we’ve been in growth mode from the beginning. I’m certainly proud of what’s been accomplished so far and looking forward to our next successes.”
