Dr. Eshan Ganju presented recent innovations in analysis of materials through lab-scale tomography at the 6th International Congress on Three-Dimensional Materials Science, held in Washington, D.C. From the conference's website:

"[3DMS] seeks to provide the premier forum for presentations of current interest and significance to the three-dimensional characterization, visualization, quantitative analysis, modeling, and development of structure–property relationships of materials, as well as big data and machine learning issues associated with 3D materials science."

Dr. Ganju's presentations included discussions of helical scan patterns for diffraction contrast tomgraphy, automated segmentation and measurement tools, and applications of these and other methods to aluminum and aluminum-composite materials.
