With the end of the fall semester, the Chawla Research Group recognizes three students who have completed the requirements to be accepted as PhD candidates by succesfully defending their preliminary exams. The three students and their research areas are as follows:

Rahul Franklin: Time-Resolved Microstructural Characterization and Properties of the Apis Mellifera Honeycomb

Daniel Sinclair: Microstructure and Defects in High-Strength Aluminum Alloys Produced by Selective Laser Melting

John Wu: Surface Precipitation and Growth of Bismuth Particles in Sn-Ag-Cu Joints
