PSI Summer Internship Program 2025
Physical Sciences Inc., located north of Boston in Andover, MA is looking for well-qualified students interested in a summer 2025 full-time internship with our Propulsion and Energetics group. The Propulsion and Energetics group conducts research, development, and testing of solid and liquid rocket propulsion systems, energetic materials, high-pressure plumbing systems, and propulsion control systems. Interns will have the ability to gain real-world experience on important projects, working directly with members of our group to build, instrument, and operate high-pressure test stands, design hot-fired components, and model our systems. We are a small, tight-knit group of engineers and scientists, and we prefer to treat interns like a full member of the team by giving them real responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:
Component modeling and design
Generating engineering drawings for machinist quotes
Test stand design and construction for:
>Solid/Liquid/Air-breathing propulsion systems
>High pressure plumbing
Propulsion and other system test stand operation (in teams with other engineers)
Computer modeling of systems
And more!
Preferred Skills:
CAD proficiency (Solidworks preferred)
Knowledge of engineering programming (MATLAB, Python, etc.)
Aptitude with basic practical electronics (soldering, wiring, etc.)
General hands-on engineering knowledge/experience
Other Requirements:
Must be Sophomore or older
GPA of 3.5 or greater
Must have some prior hands-on experience (research, previous internships, related extra-curricular activities, etc.)
