Priority: | No |
College Calendar: | Show |
The United States of America have been contributing for many years to the funding of the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (VKI). To maintain this strong collaboration in the spirit of Prof. Theodore von Kármán, we would like to invite all graduate and undergraduate students from the US to join our information session about the VKI academic programs. This is an excellent opportunity to get a better insight into the scientific developments of several domains of fluid dynamics research. These include aerospace, hypersonics, aeroacoustics, turbomachinery, decarbonization, industrial & chemical processes, environment and fluids engineering, measurement techniques, and machine learning...
The information session will take place online on Tuesday 15th of February from 09:00 am to 10:00 am (PST) / 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (EST).
We will present the 9-month research master in fluid dynamics (master-after-master level), the 2-6 month short training program, as well as doctoral and postdoctoral opportunities. Professor Laura Villafane Roca from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will share her experience as VKI alumnus. A member of this year’s "Research Master in Fluid Dynamics" will also give some practical hints on the program.
Interested persons can register by sending an email to the VKI secretaries (secretariat@vki.ac.be, phone: +32 2 359 96 04), indicating their first name, last name and university affiliation. A confirmation email with all necessary instructions on how to join the session will be sent after registration.
As you know, there is no tuition fee for US-students, for whom VKI fellowships are also available.
Further information regarding our academic programs and research activities is available on our website.
