College students are cordially invited to participate in Aviation STEM Day hosted by the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center. The event will be held at the FAA Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, NJ on Monday, April 22, 2024.

 

This event offers the unique opportunity to explore interactive displays, information booths, and cutting-edge technology demonstrations highlighting the latest research at the Technical Center. Participants will have the chance to connect with professionals such as software engineers, air traffic controllers, aircraft mechanics, electrical engineers, civil engineers, environmental engineers, mechanical engineers, aerospace engineers, chemists, meteorologists, safety inspectors, computer scientists, pilots, mathematicians, aviation safety specialists, and engineering research psychologists.

 

The experience extends beyond traditional networking, offering hands-on exposure to aviation technologies and research. This event will feature exclusive tours of a flight simulator lab, providing students with an inside look at the innovative work being conducted at the Technical Center.

 

To further enhance the educational experience, the event includes a voluntary career panel where students can gain valuable insights and advice from professionals in the field. This panel will provide a platform for open discussions about the challenges and triumphs of careers in aviation, creating a valuable forum for aspiring professionals to learn from those who have excelled in their respective fields.

 

If college students would like to attend this event, please provide the following information to 9-act-AvSTEM@faa.gov, no later than March 22nd, 2024.

3.       Full name as it appears on a Government issued license or passport

4.       Is participant a U.S citizen? (If not a U.S citizen, the attached form, International Visitor Sponsor Information Form, must be completed and returned.)

 

The Technical Center will confirm participants on a first come, first served basis, please respond with your interest as soon as possible.
