Recruiting Student Participants for Focus Groups on Class Attendance in AAE

In our efforts to understand and enhance the student learning experience in AAE courses, we are looking for volunteers to share their experiences and perspectives regarding class attendance. As a research study, this could help us create and update classes to better suit your needs as learners.

Based on volunteers' schedules, we will have up to three focus groups, providing food for your participation.  You can expect it to last about a half hour.

Please email Dan Guberman dguberma@purdue.edu with your interest/willingness to participate.

For information about this study, it is IRB #2024-601, please contact PI Jamie Canino (who will not have access to information about who participates) at canino@purdue.edu.

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary and participants can opt out at any time.  While the research team will do our best to ensure confidentiality (e.g., deleting the recording after transcriptions are made and anonymized), the research team cannot guarantee what is shared may not be repeated outside of the group by other participants.
