NASA Associate Administrator for Human Spaceflight Receives AIAA Von Karman Award
The American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) has honored Bill Gerstenmaier, BSAAE '77; OAE '03; DEA '07, associate administrator for the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate with the Von Karman Lectureship in Astronautics.

Professor Wayne Chen has been appointed to serve as Associate Head of the Graduate Program effective from January 2, 2012. Professor Marc Williams continues in his role as Associate Head for the Undergraduate Program.

Prof. Collicott's AAE 418 Team Attend Launch
Prof. Steven Collicott headed to Spaceport America's vertical launch complex in southern New Mexico the weekend of December 2, 2011 with three students from his AAE418 class. They were on-hand to oversee their experiment on the launch of the Armadillo Aerospace STIG A rocket.
