	AAE Adjunct Prof & Chief Engineer & Co-Owner of Swift Enterprises, John Rusek's SwiftFuel to power Richard 'Smokey' Young's attempt at airspeed record. Richard "Smokey" Young will use an unleaded, high-octane biofuel developed by a Purdue Research Park-based company during his attempt to establish a new 100-kilometer closed course speed record on Sept. 11.
	AAE Alum honored as being one of Purdue Alumni's 40 Under 40 Recently the Purdue Alumni Association chose 40 alums under the age of 40 to highlight and honor. One of our outstanding women engineering alums, Tamaira Ross, was chosen for this honor.
	AAE Professor Anastasios (Tasos) Lyrintzis named Associate Head of the School Head of School Professor Tom I-P. Shih has announced that Professor Tasos Lyrintzis will serve as Associate Head of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, effective fall 2010.
	AAE Courtesy Professor receives Jefferson Science and Technology Fellow Award AAE Courtesy Professor Jay Gore, Reilly University Chair Professor and founding Director of the Energy Center received the Jefferson Science and Technology Fellow Award with selection by the National Academy of Sciences and appointment by the US Department of State Science Advisor to Secretary Hillary Clinton.
