AAE Courtesy Professor receives Jefferson Science and Technology Fellow Award

AAE Courtesy Professor Jay Gore, Reilly University Chair Professor and founding Director of the Energy Center received the Jefferson Science and Technology Fellow Award with selection by the National Academy of Sciences and appointment by the US Department of State Science Advisor to Secretary Hillary Clinton.

Professor Jay Gore, (By Courtesy) Reilly University Chair Professor and founding Director of the Energy Center received the Jefferson Science and Technology Fellow Award with selection by the National Academy of Sciences and appointment by the US Department of State Science Advisor to Secretary Hillary Clinton. Prof. Gore is also Fellow, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), a past Chairman of the Central States Section of the International Combustion Institute and the ASME K11 Committee on Heat Transfer in Fire and Combustion. He has served as an Associate Editor of the ASME Journal of Heat Transfer. He was the U.S. Editor of the 28th International Combustion Symposium.

Prof. Gore currently serves as an Associate Editor of the AIAA Journal. He has received the Best Paper in Heat Transfer Literature Award from ASME and a Presidential Young Investigator Award. He has also received Faculty Fellowships from the Japanese Ministry of Education and the U. S. Department of Energy.
