Elizabeth Massa received first place for the Orthopedic Biomaterials Special Interest Group Graduate
Student Recognition Award for her poster, entitled "Cytocompatibility Properties of Hydroxyapatite
Doped with Ions Similar in Size to Calcium." The poster was presented at their 28th Annual Meeting in
Tampa, Florida, April 24-27, 2002.

Elizabeth is working toward her master's degree in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at
Purdue under the guidance of her advisor, Professor Tom Webster.
