Overview

Formed in 1958 to promote and foster cultural awareness on campus, the Visual Arts Committee brings a wide range of artwork to students, faculty, and vistors to Purdue University's West Lafayette campus. The committee includes representation from faculty, staff, and students.

  • The committee's Art in the Classroom, project brings original artwork to the walls of Purdue's large classrooms and lecture halls. Art from Purdue students is also regularly purchased by the committee for display in classrooms and halls.
  • The Poster Exchange loans framed art posters for display in university offices and other public spaces.
  • The committee's newest project is the placement of sculptures on the campus.
