The Purdue University School of Sustainability Engineering and Environmental Engineering (SEE) is pleased to welcome Kimberly McPherson as its new Senior Administrative Assistant.

McPherson joins SEE with a strong background in education, organization and service. Originally from east Tennessee, she grew up enjoying the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains before attending Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. She graduated summa cum laude in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.

For the past 14 years, McPherson has dedicated her career to teaching elementary school students, spending the majority of her time in second-grade classrooms. Throughout her teaching career, she developed a passion for helping others succeed, managing complex responsibilities and creating supportive environments where individuals can thrive.

In her new role with SEE, McPherson will provide administrative support to the school, assist faculty, staff and students, and help ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day activities. Her experience in organization, communication and customer service will be a valuable asset to the SEE community.

“I’m excited to join the School of Sustainability Engineering and Environmental Engineering and begin this new chapter,” said McPherson. “I look forward to using my organizational and service skills to support the school and contribute to its continued success.”
