Facilitator: Michael Heinz, Associate Head for Research, SLHS
Organized by: SLHS DEI Committee
Abstract: SLHS DEI Committee presents Doing the Work Series: Addressing Cultural Humility and Cultural Responsiveness in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and Practice. In this session, participants will engage in small and large group discussion regarding open science practices and traditionally underrepresented communities in communication sciences and disorders research. As many researchers support the notion of open science and diversifying research participants, barriers exist. The focus of this discussion will be identifying current barriers faced by researchers in SLHS and practical solutions that may be implemented. The discussion will be facilitated by Mike Heinz, Associate Head for Research in SLHS.
