Wabash Stormwater Management Solutions

Wabash is the innovation leader of engineered solutions for the transportation, logistics, and distribution industries. Headquartered in Lafayette, Indiana, the company’s mission is to enable customers to succeed with breakthrough ideas and solutions that help them move everything from first to final mile. Wabash National manufactures a diverse range of products, including dry freight and refrigerated trailers, platform trailers, bulk tank trailers, dry and refrigerated truck bodies, structural composite panels and products, trailer aerodynamic solutions, and specialty food grade and pharmaceutical equipment.

Wabash’s East Plant is seeking ways to reduce the TSS concentration in the stormwater sampled at the outfall. Currently, the East Plant has structural and non-structural Best Management Practices (BMPs) in place to control the discharge of potential pollutants in stormwater runoff. However, these BMPs have not been effective enough to reduce the amount of TSS in the site’s stormwater runoff to below benchmark values. Ultimately, Wabash National is seeking stormwater management solutions to address the issues at the East Plant.  While no TSS limits are established by IDEM, Wabash National wants to be below the established benchmark values.
