Emerging Construction Technologies are technologies that could produce a "High Impact" in the construction industry. The technologies are divided into eight areas:

- Mechanical
- Internet-based
- Electrical
- Housing systems
- Safety
- Sensor
- Other
This series contains the Emerging Construction Technologies Fact Sheets. Each fact sheet contains a description of then need, the technology, the benefits, status, barriers, points of contact, and References on the emerging construction technology. Each technology fact sheet is evaluated by recognized experts in that area and validated by at least one user or client. These "Technology Advocates" also serve as a reference for the emerging technology validating the product or service
