We're happy to welcome several researchers to the Chan Lab through a number of programs:
Indiana University Medical Student Program for Research and Scholarship (IMPRS) - Alan Trinh joins the Chan and Brubaker labs as a medical student performing full-time research this summer.
Medical Physician Engineers Scientists & Clinicians Preparatory Program (MPESC-Prep) - Moyo Shobowale joins us as part of a newly initiated summer program between Riley Children's Hospital and the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, shadowing Riley clinician Dr. L. Dianel Wurtz, MD, and working with the Chan lab on bench-top research.
Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) - Cortland Johns joins us as a rotation student as a new admit to the MD-PhD combined degree program between Indiana University School of Medicine and the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering.
Graduate Bridge Program - Last but not least, Cameron Villareal joins us as an incoming graduate student to the lab. Cameron will be participating in research and professional development in the weeks leading up to his matriculation as a PhD student in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering.
Undergraduates also around this summer are our Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) participants, Clarisse Zigan, Tom Lee, and Stephen Douglas, who continue their work in the lab this summer as full-time SURF fellows! And, Maya Federle, who is jointly supervised by Dr. Chan and Brubaker and defies the bounds of any established summer program (for now!)
