Officers

Arnold completed his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Purdue in 2018. During his undergrad, he worked for various companies such as Volvo Car Corporation, SENELEC, and IOCL Ltd. with the intent of diversifying his skillset and understanding the challenges addressed by different industries. Subsequently, he joined the PMP to learn about data science, data-driven decision making, and business best practices, specifically in the energy industry. As President, Arnold hopes to lead the PGSO to support the cohort’s academic and professional goals by hosting events and networking with organizations and industry.
Darsh completed his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University in India in 2017. During his undergraduate, he served as the industrial relationship liaison, class representative and a tutor for sophomores and freshmen students. After graduation, Darsh started working as a Chemical Process Manager at the world’s largest refinery, Reliance Industries Limited in Jamnagar, India. He assumed different leadership roles at Reliance like field operations engineer and commissioning engineer which helped him gain important skills in the area of operations management, project management and people management. As the VP of PGSO, Darsh wants to educate PMP students with skills normally learned and used in Process Industry. He also wants to make all PGSO events a joyful and informative experience for all PMP students. Apart from work, Darsh is very passionate about cooking and likes to make and try new dishes.
Apoorva obtained her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, India. Prior to Purdue, she has had an experience in Data Sciences and Business Analytics for a year. She has also worked on a research project that aimed at production of biofuels from microalgae, at IIT Bombay, for 3 years. She is excited to be a part of the ChE PGSO, and aims to strengthen her planning and management skills while contributing to the organisation. Apoorva likes to spend her spare time making art, cooking, and hiking.
Suddhadeep completed his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru. Since then, he has spent 3 years in Petrochemical Operations as a part of Reliance Industries Ltd. As the Secretary of the PGSO, he is passionate about his role in ensuring that the work of the organisation is well documented. Outside of work, he loves exploring different places, people and cultures. He is excited about the opportunity to use his skills for the betterment of people around him.
Harsha Rao
Industrial Liaison
Harsha completed her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore. During her undergrad, she pursued research in Indian Institute of Science (IISc) as a research assistant and worked on design and characterization of cold plasma ozonator for waste water treatment. Later on, she worked as a project assistant in IISc for Sustainable Water Management at Bangalore International Airport. As an Industrial Liaison, she is dedicated to create and strengthen mutually beneficial relationship between PGSO and Industries.
Shrikanth Yerragolla
Student Outreach and Advocacy Chair
After completing his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore, India, Shrikanth worked as a research assistant on sustainable environment technologies on mitigating water pollution by treatment of effluents from dairy and textile industries. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in chemical engineering from Purude University with a focus in process and product development. Apart from academics, he has organized multiple seminars and workshops in his undergraduate term. He also publicized and coordinated a non-profit Blood Donation camp part of the National Service Scheme in India. Shrikanth loves trekking and has completed the famous 'SAR PASS' trek in the Himalayan range. He also loves hiking, swimming and cooks surprisingly well. Most importantly Shrikanth feels honored being part of the ChE PGSO as a Graduate Committee Liaison and wants to voice concerns of the PMP students and help resolve them.
Mounika Dudala
Professional Development Chair
Mounika has completed her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology-Andhra Pradesh in 2019. During her undergraduate years, she has worked in an NGO as a Secretary and organized various fundraising events and taught middle schoolers about the importance of science. She was an executive member of the Chemical engineering association and held industrial conferences and workshops for undergraduate students..She is interested in learning about new renewable energy generation processes. As the professional development chair, she would like to conduct technical, soft skill development and networking activities for the PMP cohort. Apart from academics, she likes to go hiking,swimming,binge watch shows and drinking with friends.
Arundhati Das
Philanthropic and Social Activities Chair
Arundhati completed her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of South Florida (USF). During her undergrad, she was a laboratory technician at the School of Geosciences at USF, where she studied computational modeling of geochemical reactions, and also worked as a Student Leader with the INTO Program at USF where she mentored international students and supported them through their transition into an American university. As the Philanthropy and Social Activities Chair, Arundhati wants to organize activities and events that will encourage a cohesive and welcoming environment for her PMP cohort. In her spare time, she loves rock climbing, watching movies, and drinking wine with her friends.
Shreya Madugula
Marketing and Communications Chair
Shreya obtained her bachelor’s degree from Osmania University, India. She has served as the president of Rotaract club of Hyderabad East and has also served as a volunteer for the Teach For India initiative. During her undergrad, she has worked with various pharmaceutical companies on synthesis and characterization of drugs. As the marketing and communications chair, she would like to strengthen the strategic communications in the department and also make sure the organization is reaching out to the students and faculty. She is an avid traveler and loves to swim and binge watch movies.
Zijie obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University in December. 2019. During his undergrad, Zijie completed a minor in Economics and he also worked on multiple research projects, like converting organic waste like spent coffee ground into biodiesel, in Professor Martinez’s research group and charging a “Chem-E-Car” with chemical reactions. With the great opportunity of serving as the historian of PGSO, Zijie is excited to bond with the existing PGSO chairs and usher in the new cohort and PGSO chairs in Fall 2020.
