Faculty Awards Program 2021
CRISP seeks to recognize outstanding contributions by its affiliate faculty to resilient system design and development. For this, it will select awardees in two categories:
- Outstanding Rising Faculty
- Distinguished Senior Faculty
Timeline:
Submission deadline: Feb 15, 5 pm Eastern
Announcement of award: Mar 10
For each category, there will be one or two awardees. They will be recognized on the CRISP website, various Purdue websites, invited to give a vision talk at a CRISP seminar in Spring 2021, and get a token monetary award ($500 for each awardee). The monetary award is sponsored by Adobe.
Requirements:
- Must be an affiliate faculty member of CRISP or a part of the leadership team with the exception of CRISP Director.
- For “Outstanding Rising Faculty” must be an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor within 3 years of tenure.
- For “Distinguished Senior Faculty” anyone who is above in seniority to the above category.
Application:
The application process is simple and will be judged by a panel comprising our industrial partners, College of Engineering Associate Dean for Research, some other intellectual leaders from Purdue, and the CRISP Director. The application will have:
- A 2 page document outlining vision of the candidate for resilience in any of the three thrust areas: Cyber, Cyber-physical, or Socio-technical systems. This should include some contributions the candidate has already demonstrated toward the vision. Bibliographic references do not count toward the page limit.
- A 2 page NSF style biographical sketch.
