The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center is hosting an Aviation STEM Day for interested college students on Monday, April 24th onsite in Atlantic City International Airport, NJ.

Students will have the opportunity to tour 20 interactive displays, information booths, and technology demonstrations showcasing Technical Center research. During this time, FAA employees will be available to discuss their background, education, and the path that led them to their current career.

Students are encouraged to ask questions from the various professionals to learn more about their research and aviation career. Professionals from the Technical Center community will represent a broad range of aviation careers including software engineers, air traffic controllers, aircraft mechanics, electrical engineers, civil engineers, environmental engineers, mechanical engineers, aerospace engineers, chemists, meteorologists, safety inspectors, computer scientists, pilots, mathematicians, aviation safety specialists, and engineering research psychologists.

College students may register by providing the following information to 9-act-AvSTEM@faa.gov no later than Monday, March 27th.

  1. School Name 
  2. Major 
  3. Full name as it appears on a Government issued license or passport 
  4. Is participant a U.S citizen? (If not a U.S citizen, the attached International Visitor Sponsor Information Form must be completed and returned.)

Due to space limitations, participants will be assigned a two-hour time slot to participate in the event, to be coordinated once all participants are finalized.

The Tech Center will confirm participants on a first come, first served basis, so please respond with your interest as soon as possible.
