AAE490 Safe and Sustainable Space Systems

This Spring 2025, Prof. Marais will be running a small research course with a theme of Safe and Sustainable Space Systems. In this course, we will learn how to read research articles critically (an essential part of any research project) and then how to formulate our own strong arguments that are free of the logical fallacies that plague so much of what we read (and write!). We will be reading a series of articles on space systems, with students presenting articles to the class, along with their assessment of the research and how it is presented. This course will be a prerequisite for doing undergraduate research in Prof. Marais’s group.
