Major General Thomas J. Masiello Speaks at 2014 Rolls-Royce Memorial Lecture
Purdue University's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics was pleased to welcome Air Force Major General Thomas J. "Tom" Masiello to the 2014 Charles Rolls and Henry Royce Memorial Lecture on October 8, 2014. General Masiello spoke to the audience in the Purdue Memorial South Ballroom on the topic of National Defense: The Role of Science and Technology. Opening remarks were made by Purdue President Mitch Daniels and School of AAE Head Dr. Tom Shih.

Mr. Scott Meyer, the Managing Director of Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories, has been named as a finalist for the College of Engineering Staff Awards of Excellence. Mr. Meyer is one of three finalists for the Leadership Award.

School of AAE graduate student Jeremy Voigt and team of engineers test fuel pump for rocket engine, profiled in news article
The Houston Chronicle recently profiled Purdue University's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics graduate student Jeremy Voigt. A student of AAE's Professor Steven Collicott, Voigt and a team of engineers are in California's Mojave Desert to test a new pump that supplies fuel to a rocket engine built by XCOR. Voigt is profiled in part 4 of the multi-part article series.
