Purdue University School of Aeronautics and Astronautics undergraduate student Emily Zimovan was presented with the Women in Aerospace (WIA) Foundation and ATK Scholarship at the 29th Annual Women in Aerospace Awards on October 29, 2014. The awards ceremony took place at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.

Purdue University recognized Carol Armstrong on Friday, November 21, 2014 for the gift of papers valued at more than $3.4 million from her late husband, Neil A. Armstrong (BSAE'55, DEA'67, HDR'70, OAE'99), a 1955 School of Aeronautics and Astronautics graduate and the first person to step on the moon.

School of Aeronautics and Astronautics professors Dr. Mike Sangid (Structures & Materials) and Dr. Sally Bane (Aerodynamics), Managing Director of Maurice J. Zucrow Lab Scott Meyer, and School of AAE graduate students shared their expertise with the Academy students.
