	AAE Grad Student, Brian Pomeroy, receives AIAA Wright Brothers Graduate Award Brian Pomeroy has been awarded the prestigious AIAA Wright Brothers Graduate Award for 2008 to support his research topic Combustion Instabilities. He is one of four in the nation receiving AIAA's highest honor for graduate students.
	Two AAE Professors inducted into Purdue's Book of Great Teachers Professors Steven Collicott and James Longuski were inducted August 28, 2008. "These professors are passionate about teaching and are making a difference in the lives of students both inside and outside the classroom," Woodson said. "This honor reflects our commitment to excellence in teaching and the faculty that embody this every day."
	AAE moves up in the U.S. News & World Report Rankings US News & World Report has released this year's national rankings of undergraduate programs. The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics ranking for this year is at #4, up from #6 last year.

	Students Hope Their Boilermaker Special Takes Wing It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a flying train? Don't head to the eye doctor just yet. A team of Purdue students entering the Chicago Red Bull Flugtag next month have built what they hope to be a flying Boilermaker Special, and they plan to launch it off a 30-foot-high platform over Lake Michigan.
