	Professor Li Qiao and her Ph.D. student Yanan Gan won the Second Place Prize for the 2010 Combustion Art Competition of the Combustion Institute Professor Li Qiao and her Ph.D. student Yanan Gan won the Second Place Prize for the 2010 Combustion Art Competition of the Combustion Institute for their work "Flame, Gone with Butterfly."
	Professor Li Qiao wins Young Investigator Award Professor Li Qiao has received the Army Research Office (ARO) Young Investigator Program (YIP) Award for her proposal "Ignition and Burning Behavior of Fuel Droplets with Energetic Nanoparticle Addition."
	1st Annual AAE End of Year Banquet The First Annual AAE End of Year Banquet, hosted by Sigma Gamma Tau, was held Wednesday, April 21st to get all the members of the department together and recognize those that have had made major accomplishments throughout the past year
	AAE Graduate Student, Dean Bryson, wins Best Paper Award at 51st AIAA/ASME/ASCE/AHS/ASC Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference Dean Bryson, a Masters Student under Dr. Terry Weisshaar, graduating this May, presented "Aeroelastic Optimization of a Two-Dimensional Flapping Mechanism" to claim the Best Paper Award.
	Prof. Kathleen Howell selected as the 2010 Elmer F. Bruhn Teaching Award Recipient Presented annually to an Outstanding Teacher in the Purdue University School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, selected by the undergraduate student body for excellence in teaching and made possible by the interest and generosity of friends and alumni of the school.
