School of AAE grad student Samantha Alberts selected as AIAA Board of Directors Student Liaison

School of Aeronautics and Astronautics graduate student Samantha Alberts has been chosen as the 2015-2017 Student Liaison for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Board of Directors. Created in 2004, the Student Liaison position is designed to provide the Board of Directors with a direct link to student members as well as utilize insight from a student perspective.

School of Aeronautics and Astronautics graduate student Samantha Alberts has been chosen as the 2015-2017 Student Liaison for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Board of Directors. Created in 2004, the Student Liaison position is designed to provide the Board of Directors with a direct link to student members as well as utilize insight from a student perspective.

Alberts, a Ph.D. student of Professor Steven Collicott, will act as the point of contact for students with questions, as well as bring news to AIAA student organization branches regarding upcoming events and deadlines.

Alberts attended the first meeting in May 2015 in Washington, D.C., noting, “I had the opportunity to meet a lot of wonderful incoming and outgoing board members. My role includes attending three board meetings per year to represent all student members as well as facilitate event programming for students.”
