Congratulations to Amanda Haapala and Kaela Martin who were honored at the College of Engineering Annual Celebration of Graduate Research, Teaching, and Service Award Program on April 16, 2014.
Amanda was recognized as a recipient for an Award for Outstanding Researchers. This award goes to students who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in research through publications, participation in proffessional organizations, and willingness to mentor others. Amanda’s advisor is Prof. Kathleen Howell and research for her Ph.D. is on spacecraft trajectory design in multi-body regimes, with a focus on the incorporation of visual tools into the design process.
Kaela was recognized as a recipient for Outstanding Sevice Scholarship. This award is presented to engineering graduate students who have provided outstanding service to the graduate student community, the School, the College, and to the University. Kaela is studying under Prof. James Longuski and her Ph.D. research is on maneuver analysis for spinning spacecraft.
