Associate Professor Dr. Alina Alexeenko named AIAA Associate Fellow

Dr. Alina Alexeenko has been honored as Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). The distinction of Associate Fellow is conferred by AIAA upon outstanding members of the Institute who have made notable and valuable contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.
Dr. Alexeenko is a member of Purdue's Aerodynamics group. She earned her Ph.D. degree, at Pennsylvania State University, Aerospace Engineering in 2003.
AIAA is the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession. With more than 35,000 individual members worldwide, and 90 corporate members, AIAA brings together industry, academia, and government to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. To be selected for the grade of Associate Fellow an individual must be an AIAA Senior Member with at least twelve years professional experience, and be recommended by a minimum of three current Associate Fellows.
The new Associate Fellows will be honored at the AIAA Associate Fellows Dinner on Monday, January 13, 2014, at the Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland, in conjunction with the AIAA SciTech Forum.
