Convocation Recognizes Faculty for National Honors and Years of Service

Dr. Stephen Heister, Dr. Kathleen Howell, Dr. C.T. Sun and Dr. James Longuski were among faculty members recognized April 25 for national awards and years of service at the Spring 2013 Faculty Awards Convocation.
Dr. Heister and Dr. Howell were recognized as AIAA Fellows and Dr. Sun and Dr. Longuski were recognized for years of service.
Dr. Stephen D. Heister is the Raisbeck Engineering Distinguished Professor for Engineering and Technology Integration and Director, Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1988.
Dr. Kathleen C. Howell is Hsu Lo Professor of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and received her Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1983.
Presentation of the AIAA certificates and pins will take place at the AIAA Fellows Dinner on Tuesday May 7, 2013 and the honored recipients will also be recognized at the Spotlight Awards Gala, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, in Washington, D.C.
Dr. C.T. Sun received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 1967 and was honored for 45 years of service and Dr. James M. Longuski received his Ph.D. from The University of Michigan in 1979 and was honored for 25 years with the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
