Congratulations to Natasha Bosanac whose research won a Certificate of Excellence Award from The Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (OIGP) in the category of Computational Science and Engineering (CS&E).
Purdue Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs (OIGP) hosts a reception in celebration of interdisciplinary graduate student research. A diverse array of student research posters and multimedia presentations are featured from across Purdue's 15 interdisciplinary graduate programs. One Certificate of Excellence Award is given in each interdisciplinary program.
Natasha's research poster was entitled "Exploring the Impact of an Additional Three-Body Interaction in the Restricted Three-Body Problem." Her research involves using frequency analysis and Poincaré maps to investigate the dynamics of a third body orbiting about a large mass ratio binary star system, under the influence of a gravitational potential that is modified to incorporate many-body interactions. Natasha is a current Ph.D student in Astrodynamics and Space Applications with Professor Kathleen Howell as her advisor.
