Purdue University's board of trustees on Friday April 5 approved faculty promotions.
Dr. Greg Blaisdell has been promoted from Associate Professor to Professor. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1991 and his areas of interest include Computational fluid mechanics and Transition and turbulence.
Dr. Li Qiao has been promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor with tenure. She received her Ph.D. from University of Michigan in 2007 and her area of interests are High-performance fuels for high-speed propulsion systems, alternative and synthetic fuels, fuel synthesis by coal/biomass gasification, endothermic fuels, nanoscale energetic materials, laser diagnostics, experimental fluid dynamics, supersonic and hypersonic combustion, and advanced propellant and propulsion concepts.
Dr. Nicole Key (AAE by courtesy) has been promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor with tenure. Dr. Key is an alumna of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics and received her bachelor's degree in 2000, her master's in 2002 and her Ph.D. in 2007. Her research interests include Aerothermal aspects of turbomachinery, Axial and radial compressor performance and Experimental methods in fluid mechanics and is on the faculty of the School of Mechanical Engineering.
These promotion are very significant milestones in a faculty's career/life, and we are so proud of their accomplishments and the reputation and stature that they bring to our school.
Congratulations to our outstanding faculty.
