AAE Prof. C.T. Sun wins AIAA 2011 Walter J. and Angeline H. Crichlow Trust Prize

This prestigious award is given by AIAA every four years for excellence in aerospace materials, structural design, structural analysis, or structural dynamics. The citation reads "For pioneering developments in damage tolerant design in composite structural mechanics and for seminal contributions to academic programs in composite structures and materials."

This prestigious award is given by AIAA  every four years for excellence in aerospace materials, structural design, structural analysis, or structural dynamics. The citation reads "For pioneering developments in damage tolerant design in composite structural mechanics and for seminal contributions to academic programs in composite structures and materials."

This award was presented to Professor Sun  at the 53rd AIAA Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference Awards luncheon which took place April 25, 2012. The award consists of a medal and a certificate of citation. AIAA postponed giving the award from last year until Professor Sun was able to receive it in person.
