Christine Troy, agraduating senior in A&AE at Purdue, is honored to be recognized as the local Sigma Gamma Tau Outstanding Senior. She has also won the Great Lakes Regional Award given by the SGT National Headquarters. Originally from Cincinnati, OH, Christine came to Purdue because of the A&AE department's close work with NASA and the co-op program. She was able to work five semesters as a co-op at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. During her tours she did varied work in Space Shuttle Main Engine flight control, propulsion data analysis, extravehicular activity training, and trajectory design. Recently, Christine has become increasingly interested in the environment and renewable energy. She spent a semester studying wind energy in Denmark and hopes to get a job in the wind energy industry upon graduation. She hopes that her Purdue A&AE studies in aerodynamics and turbines will help her to make a positive contribution in the wind energy field.
